Cultural and institutional commissions define the Basel-based design practice of Gerschwiler & Berrel. The two-person studio works across graphic, editorial and poster design, digital design, identity and branding, as well as signage and exhibition design. Museums, educational institutions, publishers and public bodies form the core of their client base: references include the Historisches Museum Basel, the Spielzeug-Welten-Museum, the Cartoonmuseum Basel, the Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz, the St. Jakobshalle and the Tribunal Cantonal in Lausanne. Projects combine print, digital applications and spatial design; work is carried out in German and French. The result is visual identities conceived consistently from publication through to on-site signage, giving each institution a coherent face.
