About us
A photographer trained at ECAL, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in visual communication between 2011 and 2015, Etienne Malapert works from Lausanne. Born in Paris in 1991, his practice moves between commissioned work and personal documentary projects. Architecture and the urban fabric form a recurring focus, alongside a more artistic eye turned towards fashion, design and the industrial world. His mandates come from both institutions and companies, sometimes leading to exhibitions. His work has been recognised on several occasions: Swiss Design Award in 2016, TruePicture Prize in 2022, as well as recognition at the Lensculture Emerging Talent Awards and a nomination for the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize. This trajectory blends documentary research with applied commissions, with constant attention paid to image construction.
