Scientific illustration as the foundation, animation as the signature: Patrick Graf works from Zürich as a freelance illustrator, concept artist, animator and director. His career began as a classically trained scientific illustrator. From 2000 to 2007, he was a CG artist at Treibhaus Postproduktion, followed by a role as co-founder, animator and director at Elefant Studios until 2016. These years in film and advertising production shape his approach. He combines illustration, animation and direction into a coherent narrative. His core skills include character and concept design, storyboarding, 2D and 3D animation, as well as modeling and texturing, all grounded in solid anatomical knowledge. On the technical side, he works with Adobe Creative Suite, TVPaint, Toon Boom Harmony and Autodesk Maya. Graf likes to get involved early in projects, both conceptually and cost-consciously.
