Since 2002, René Dürr has run his studio in Zürich Affoltern, photographing architecture. His focus is on buildings, ranging from single-family homes to large office and commercial developments. He documents new builds as well as renovations. His range of services includes drone photography, exterior and interior shots, detail shots and video footage. The images are used in brochures, websites, advertising posters and flyers. His professional background is unusually deep: he has worked as a structural draughtsman, bricklayer, planner and construction supervisor. This expertise shapes his eye for construction and detail. He carries out most assignments using digital medium-format and technical cameras such as the Mamiya 645df and the Alpa Max 12, and previously also worked in analogue large-format photography. His clients include architects, general contractors and planning firms, authorities, property developers, real estate and advertising agencies.
