"Studio for Visual Communication and other beautiful things" — that's how Rio from Basel's Westfeld describes itself. The work covers visual identities, posters, communication campaigns, websites and motion design. For Kuppel Basel 2026, the studio developed a visual identity complete with animations. A communication campaign was created for Clubnacht Basel 2025-2026. Rio also realised further projects for Theater auf dem Lande and Theaterfestival Basel 2024. Animated posters are part of the repertoire too, for example for Poster Safari 2024 and the Basler Pop-Preis 2024. For Buess AG, the studio designed a New Year's card, and Compact Cargo Bikes were created together with FLINC. The studio's background lies clearly in culture and events. Through its own shop, Rio also sells branded espresso cups and co-branded cargo bikes.
