Born in Tehran and based between Lausanne and London, Anoush Abrar works in portrait, fashion and editorial photography. His images have appeared in Vogue France and Japan, W Magazine, Wallpaper, the New York Times, Vanity Fair UK, the Financial Times, Die Zeit and Libération. His career is marked by numerous accolades: twice awarded at the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize at the National Portrait Gallery, winner of PX3 in Paris in 2019, the Monochrome Awards in 2020, and a grant from the Fondation Leenaards. His work has been featured in more than fifty exhibitions worldwide, including at the National Portrait Gallery in London and the Musée de l'Élysée in Lausanne. Personal series and fashion commissions alike reflect the same rigorous eye.
