About us
Editorial design, book design and signage form the creative focus of Karin Rütsche, who founded her Basel studio in 1998. After further training as a graphic designer at the Schule für Gestaltung Basel and years working as a graphic designer and junior art director at Basel advertising agencies, the owner today handles corporate design, information graphics, posters, brochures and websites. References include Zoo Basel, Novartis, the Landesmuseum as well as numerous cultural institutions, municipalities and organisations from the region. A hallmark of her work is the holistic project support, from definition and analysis through concept and design to realisation and production; larger and smaller projects alike receive individual attention, drawing on an interdisciplinary network of specialist partners where needed. Since 2006, Rütsche has also taught lettering and typography at the Schule für Gestaltung Basel, passing on her knowledge to the next generation of designers.
